Vietnam Lac Duong - Anaerobic Natural (12 oz. size only)

$23.00

Single-Origin
Anaerobic Natural Process
Altitude: 1,500 m
Light Roast
Tasting Notes: Strawberry Jam, Vanilla, Floral

**AVAILABLE IN 12 OZ. SIZE ONLY**

This is our FIRST offering from Vietnam, and it’s yet another stellar natural process bean (like our last two limited Ethiopian offerings) that underwent additonal anaerobic fermentation for 48 hours , before being laid out to dry - a great combo that really cranks up those fruity notes!

This coffee is produced in and around Dung K’no Village, located 40 kilometers away from DaLat in the southern half of Vietnam. The farmers here collectively are part of the K’Ho people, one of the many ethnic minorities in Vietnam.

Vietnam is the world’s 2nd largest coffee-producing country, but mainly exports Robusta - so this coffee is not only special because it’s Arabica, but also because of the extra care that went into it. If you closed your eyes and did a blind tasting, you could easily be fooled into thinking that this is an African bean - a testament to the hardwork and inventive processing methods used by the farmers.

We tasted strawberry jam, vanilla, and nice floral notes. As it cools, there’s a winey or kombucha-like finish to it - but it’s nice and balanced, not overwhelming. We hope you enjoy this limited offering as much as we have been!
