Do you like Ethiopian coffees with a BIG personality? Well, you’re in luck! This coffee hails from the Gera Estate in the Djimma region of Ethiopia. The farm doesn’t use chemical pesticides or fertilizers, and their “natural” approach to coffee farming definitely shows in the cup!
This offering was harvested and processed using the natural (dry) process, where the beans are left in the cherry and sun-dried. Afterward, they were pulped and then sealed in barrels to create an anaerobic (oxygen-deprived) fermentation environment - a method that typically amplifies the fruity notes and complexity.
The result? You’ll find a nice sweet and juicy coffee with notes of pineapple, raspberry, and peach. This coffee was processed extremely well, and the big flavors come across very clean - this isn’t some muddled experiment gone wrong, we promise!
